The New A Ph A (American Pharmacist's Association, formerly
American Pharmacy Association) has published a Chapter 55,
Homeopathic medicines in their fifteenth edition Handbook
of Non-prescription Drugs. June McDermott is a co-author
and Jack Borneman is a reviewer.
-
Low cost: drugs average less than $1 per day in acute conditions and
a few cents per day (sometimes a fraction of a cent) in chronic conditions.
-
Minimal side effects, no toxicity, no addiction, no dependency, no withdrawal.
-
Can work while patient is on prescription medication (e.g., for
asthma, diabetes, or other conditions in which medication cannot
safely be withdrawn).
-
No interaction with pharmaceuticals, because it works on a different (energetic) level.
-
Consumers receive good results when self-treating for many
common acute conditions.
-
Patients unable to use conventional pharmaceuticals due to side
effects can often safely use homeopathic drugs.
-
Patients often report improvement in overall energy, mood, quality
of sleep, and digestion, and the disappearance of other symptoms
apparently unrelated to the condition being treated with homeopathy.
